OPEN POSITIONS
QUALITY ASSURANCE MANAGER
The main focus for the position is the management and overall responsibility for product quality at Propaganda Games. You will be working closely with the game teams to build a strategy to ensure the timely delivery of quality games. You will be working with focus groups, play testing sessions, automation, on-site testing, and external testing teams. Decision making and communication are keys to executing against the quality strategies. The role does require a "hands on" approach to ensure we deliver against our quality goals.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Hire, train and manage internal Quality Assurance staff
- Work with the team leadership to ensure detailed test plans are in place and well executed.
- Communicate and manage relationships with external QA teams and head-office QA department
- Identify, report and track issues with pre-release software
- Conduct regression and stress testing
- Evaluate test coverage & prepare/execute test scripts
- Provide quality feedback, including evaluations of content and suggestions for improvements
- Undertake research, including competitive analysis for product and new technologies for testing
- Conduct and analysis focus and play testing sessions
- Co-ordinate feedback from multiple stakeholders
- Integrate external feedback and focus test reports during the production process
- Establish automated testing strategies and requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum of 5 years experience in software/video game QA.
- Experience as a senior tester or QA supervisor on multiple software projects.
- Console experience, including experience on "next generation" consoles (PS3, Xbox 360).
- Proven leadership skills.
- Diplomatic skills demonstrating a willingness and ability to listen.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Strength in decision-making and analytical skills.
Assets
- Possesses a strong passion and expert knowledge for games of all genres, particularly Action and RPG.
- Post secondary education is an asset, particularly in the fields of game design, fine arts, computer science or film/cinematography
